Managing Director needed for a dynamic and energetic local commercial real estate firm. In this pivotal role at Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors, you will be a key driver in shaping and implementing the company’s strategic direction by fostering high-performance culture and ensuring the overall success and growth of the firm. Reporting directly to the company’s ownership, you will lead a team of dedicated professionals, collaborate with industry experts, and play an essential role in the continued success and growth of the brokerage.

The role of a Managing Director requires a comprehensive understanding and significant experience in the commercial real estate industry, strong leadership abilities, strategic thinking, financial acumen, and excellent interpersonal skills.


Duties included but not limited to:

  • Team Management and Development:
    •    Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance, setting a positive example that aligns with the company’s values, culture, and goals.
    •    Set clear performance expectations, goals, and KPIs for team members, ensuring alignment with the brokerage's objectives.
    •    Conduct regular performance assessments and to help team members achieve their full potential and meet their professional development goals.
    •    Conduct regular performance reviews, assess individual and team performance, and provide constructive feedback and recognition.
    •    Maintain a daily presence in the office, while also having a versatile schedule that allows you to balance your responsibilities as our culture leader and broker mentor.
  • Strategic Leadership 
    •    Develop and execute the company's short-term and long-term strategic plans in alignment with the overall business objectives.
    •    Continuously monitor and identify market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic decisions and capitalize on growth potential. 
    •    Drive innovative solutions, technologies, and initiatives to streamline processes, expand the company's service and improve overall efficiency.
  • Business Development and Recruiting
    •    Participate in the development and recruitment process to attract and retain top talent.
    •    Represent the brokerage, effectively showcasing its capabilities to a broader audience.
    •    Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring new hires are integrated smoothly into the team and company culture.
    •    Cultivate relationships with potential clients, industry influencers, and top-tier professionals to expand the brokerage's network and reputation within the commercial real estate market.
  • Financial Management
    •    Monitor budget performance and suggest corrective actions as needed to align financial outcomes with strategic goals.
    •    Collaborate with brokers to set revenue targets and craft effective strategies for achieving them.
    •    Monitor sales activities, track revenue streams, and identify areas for revenue enhancement.    
    •    Identify financial risks, including market fluctuations and economic uncertainties, and develop strategies to mitigate their impact.
  • Risk Management, Compliance and Legal
    •    Act as the Responsible Broker for the firm, maintaining the integrity of all transactions and contracts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. 
    •    Ensure that the brokerage operates in compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing real estate transactions and brokerage operations.    
    •    Collaborate with legal experts when necessary to draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, vendors, and partners.
    •    Address legal disputes and conflicts that arise from transactions, contracts, or other business activities.
    •    Uphold and promote high ethical standards and professional conduct within the brokerage and among team members.
  • Networking and Industry Involvement
    •    Attend industry-specific events and gatherings to build a strong professional network with other industry leaders, brokers, investors, developers, and professionals.
    •    Elevate both yourself and the brokerage’s reputation as thought leaders by speaking at industry events, contributing articles, and participating in panel discussions within the industry.
    •    Identify potential business partners, service providers, and collaborators within the real estate ecosystem.
  • Reporting and Communication
    •    Participate in regular meetings with management and executive leadership, providing insights into broker performance and market trends.
    •    Utilize communication tools, platforms, and technology to facilitate efficient and timely communication across the organization.
    •    Generate comprehensive reports on brokerage performance, financial metrics, and strategic initiatives for executive review, offering insights and recommendations for further growth.

Position requirements: 

- A bachelor's degree in business, real estate, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding and significant experience (10+ years preferred) in the commercial real estate industry, with a strong understanding of various property types, market dynamics, industry trends, sales, sales training, and management experience. 
- Active Colorado Real Estate License
- Must complete state approved managing broker's course within 3 months of employment.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications (EXCEL, Word, and Outlook). 
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn new technology platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. 
- Understanding and commitment to broker and client satisfaction. 
- Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail, ability to interact effectively with people. 

Position benefits: 

- Base salary of $175,000 – $250,000, negotiable, plus bonus based on experience, recruiting and profitability of the company.
- An all-purpose PTO plan.
- Insurance benefits including medical coverage for employees (Pinnacle pays up to 60% coverage costs for employee, and 50% for dependents) with dental and vision offerings.
